The OVERVIEW: The 1st Shift Production Supervisor- Bilingual Spanish manages the daily activities of his or her area, including ownership of results, coaching employees, interfacing with other departments, and meeting production goals. The position also handles production-related recordkeeping, including but not limited to printing labels, completing food safety checks, and ensuring paperwork is completed.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions:

• Coordinate startup activities of the area, including safety, quality, food safety inspection, and production line readiness.
• Plan proactively for the next day, including safety, sanitation, maintenance, and team needs. Communicate with other departments regarding scheduling and production issues.
• Operate computer systems to track quality trends and production activity.
• Perform daily audits of cleaning, inspections, and 5S organization; teach and guide employees to meet standards.
• Coordinate production activities to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues, escalate when necessary.
• Assist with audit preparation as needed.
• Handle loading/unloading cylinders, monitor product volume, temperatures, times, and pressure readings.
• Connect pipes and hoses, adjust valves, operate pumps, monitor gauges, and record data.
• Follow SOPs and handling procedures for each product type, including reading date codes.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift; assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GMP and HACCP policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to management.
• Availability to work 1st shift.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
