Job summary

IDEX Corporation – Akron Brass is seeking a manufacturing leader to oversee operations on the 1st shift (6:50 AM–2:50 PM, Mon–Fri). You will drive safety, quality, productivity and performance, while meeting production goals.

We value hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with internal customers. 2–5 years of manufacturing experience and prior leadership experience are preferred.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership to employees in manufacturing operations. Maintain safety, quality, productivity and performance standards, while meeting production goals. Provides support to employees as required .

REPORTS TO (Title) : Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assign workload and priorities to direct and indirect employees

• Maintain product quality and quantity standards regarding output

• Enforce operating policies and procedures

• Provide training and assistance to employees

• Interview candidates for open positions

• Resolve union issues

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience

• Leadership experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
