Process Assurance Leader

Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Process Assurance Leader ensures team adherence to processes, compliance with industry and company standards, and maintains a safe and productive work environment. The role requires knowledge of safe machine operation and effective support chain escalation.

Reporting To

Production Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties assigned in the Leader Standard Work, including daily management, shift start-up, shift handoffs, and hour-by-hour checks.
  • Cycle counts, 5S, standard work, and quality audits.
  • Autonomous maintenance.
  • Train, coach, and support team members; maintain training plans.
  • Report to work 15 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled manufacturing shift for handoff.
  • Identify team competency gaps and implement training actions.
  • Ensure process adherence for all assigned areas.
  • Execute layered process audits at required frequency.
  • Support 5S initiatives through auditing and action item development.
  • Perform manufacturing operations as necessary to support output goals.
  • Actively model IDEX values: Team, Trust, and Excellence.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Required Abilities
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee personnel information.
  • Exercise sound judgment and follow proper escalation procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills.
  • Complete forklift certification and OSHA 30 within 90 days.
  • Qualified on each work center in the assigned work cell within eight weeks.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • 2+ years of manufacturing environment experience (preferred high volume).
  • Supervisory / leadership experience preferred.
Physical, Mental, and Visual Demands
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • 85% of time spent standing or walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Clear vision required to monitor production operation and safety.
  • Depth perception required for safety due to moving parts.

  • Moderate noise exposure.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $58,200.00 – $87,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
