Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Production Specialist for the 1st Shift in Cartersville, GA. The role reports to the Plant Manager and oversees manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality. Shift is 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, on-site.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong computer skills, and solid communication abilities in a manufacturing setting. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related work experience required.
• Computer literate in spreadsheets and standard software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Coordinate with quality control for regular inspections and adherence to standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed production reports and documentation for management.
• Manage the inventory of materials and tools, including staging and stock counts.
• Provide technical support for production floor issues and downtime reduction.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure material flow.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols on the production floor.
• Assist in scheduling production activities and personnel to meet targets.
