Job summary

International Paper in Griffin, GA 30224 is seeking a 1st shift Utility Operator. The role pays $21.03 per hour and runs 7am–3pm on the first shift, with some weekends and overtime.

As a miscellaneous labor associate, you will follow safety rules, read work orders, identify stock, assist machine crews, and maintain quality by measuring with tape and using basic shop math. Strong teamwork and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler.
• Ability to use basic shop math.
• Ability to learn and follow instructions, work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Read factory work orders and customer requirements.
• Identify stock and products that correspond to work orders.
• Perform duties to meet production needs.
• Assist other associates as needed.
• Inspect, count, and unitize products per specifications.
• Complete time sheets and other records.
