Job summary

International Paper is hiring for a 3rd Shift Utility Operator at the Griffin, GA location. You will report to the production supervisor on your shift and support machine crews with minimum downtime. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in measurements, and teamwork to meet production targets.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, reading work orders, and using measuring tools to verify specs. Weekend overtime is sometimes required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to read a tape measure and ruler accurately.
• Able to perform basic shop math.
• Able to learn quickly and follow instructions in a team setting.
• Willing to work overtime and some weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Read work orders and documents to learn customer requirements.
• Identify stock and products for work orders.
• Perform duties to meet production needs.
• Assist other associates as needed.
• Accurately use measuring tools and equipment.
• Inspect, count, and package products per specs.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming items.
• Complete time sheets and records accurately.
