Job summary

International Paper in Tampa, FL is seeking a Production Associate for 2nd or 3rd shift. You will safely operate machines, read work orders, count products, and maintain quality while meeting production targets. Overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods.

Starting pay is $22.66 per hour with shift differential; probationary rate $19.58 per hour. Benefis include PTO, 401k matching, health coverage, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to identify quality defects and monitor production quality.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Ability to follow instructions after explanation and demonstration.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work well in a team.
• Punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices at all times.
• Count and stack finished product.
• Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications.
• Utilize basic shop math.
• Accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipment.
• Coordinate activities with other crew members to efficiently set up and run orders.
• Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company.
• Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production.
• Maintain housekeeping continually during the assigned shift.
• Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
