Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Flint, MI is seeking a 1st Shift Production Line Lead to oversee the production line and its crew, ensuring efficiency, productivity and quality of assembled orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 2 years of lead experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment, ability to operate PIT equipment, and solid English communication.

Hourly pay is $20.00 with overtime opportunities; hours are Mon-Fri, 6am–2:30pm, with potential weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to operate PIT equipment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading a crew in a production environment (corrugated manufacturing preferred).
• General fluency in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Team Leads to ensure staff members are assigned tasks as outlined in the work order and assist with training.
• Work side by side with crew to prepare product for customers that include: Pack product of varying type; Unpack/Repackage product; Build product bundles of supplies; Build mailing packets; Box printing; Box labeling.
• Receive new and returned product; Log and track production documentation; Ensure safety and quality standards at all times; Perform additional duties as assigned.
