Job summary

Siemens in Knightdale, NC is hiring a 1st Shift Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for the skid assembly facility, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while building frontline talent and cross‑functional collaboration.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on achieving SQCDP KPIs, continuous improvement, and responsible leadership in a startup‑style manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or working knowledge of a manufacturing facility.
• Managerial understanding of critical success factors in an assembly, manufacturing, or operations environment.
• Strong process mindset demonstrated through process improvement roles; lean manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite; scheduling systems including SAP and Salesforce.com.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day production operations to exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer performance targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S, waste elimination, cycle time reduction, and process optimization
• Plan and direct capital investments and resource allocation to improve productivity, optimize inventory, and align capacity with sales demand
• Develop and engage talent by building leadership capability, fostering accountability, and promoting a strong ownership culture
• Oversee production systems, data accuracy, and compliance across SAP, Salesforce, Dayforce, audits, and customer visits
