Job summary

LHH in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead frontline operations. You will drive daily production activities and partner cross-functionally to improve workflows and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5+ years of production leadership experience in manufacturing
• Must have experience utilizing ERP, MRP, and/or WMS software
• Ability to manage workflows and drive operational performance improvements
• Understanding of production scheduling and materials flow in a manufacturing facility
• Excellent communication skills and team leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and create production schedules to meet customer demands
• Coordinate the activities of the production team and ensure materials and products move smoothly through the facility
• Train employees on equipment, procedures, and operational best practices
• Monitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands
• Supervise workforce performance and provide coaching to improve productivity
• Confirm stock levels and assign work duties
• Track operational metrics and address issues impacting throughput or accuracy
• Manage workflow systems to coordinate production and fulfillment
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards
• Collaborate with HR on hiring, employee relations, and performance management
• Enforce safety policies and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste
