Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, coordinate downtime with production, and support reliability efforts to minimize unexpected breakdowns. You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and PM Planner to develop robust PMs, ensure accurate maintenance records, and uphold safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years PM maintenance technician experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics as needed.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions quickly and restore operation.
• Able to manipulate with dexterity to perform proper repairs with required tools.
• Capable of bending, twisting, and reaching to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Must use PPE and follow OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, calibration, and cleaning.
• Enter repair actions into the maintenance program as they occur.
• Receive and prioritize machine PM actions for the assigned area.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform PMs.
• Document work performed in the maintenance system.
