Job summary

Alleguard is hiring a Press Operator for its Greer, SC manufacturing site. The role involves inspecting and sorting molded parts, packing according to quality standards, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Pay is $16.00 USD per hour with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on customer demand.

Qualifications

  • Observation: visually inspect parts during production and determine quality.
  • Reading Comprehension: understand written work instructions.
  • Active Listening: fully attend to speakers and ask questions as needed.
  • Operation Monitoring: watch gauges and indicators to ensure machines run properly.
  • Learning Strategies: select appropriate methods to learn new tasks.
  • Pallet Jack: operate manual pallet jack or equivalent.
  • Speaking: communicate information clearly to colleagues.
  • PPE: follow PPE requirements for safety.
  • Endurance: tolerate extended periods in varying temperatures/humidity.
  • Standing: endure 4–8 hours of standing.
  • Lifting: safely lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor press to ensure parts eject properly and report issues.
  • Pack acceptable parts into predefined packaging or pallets.
  • Discard parts not meeting specifications.
  • Label containers with item information per quality standards.
  • Visually inspect parts for conformance to standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and dispose of rejects properly.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Handle parts in/out of drying tunnel as instructed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position: Press Operator

Job Summary

We are currently hiring Press Operators for our manufacturing site. As a Press Operator, you are responsible for inspecting and sorting molded or assembled parts/ products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications. You will also pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.

Pay: $16.00 USD/HR

Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday
  • 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Flexibility is a must; weekends, overtime required based on customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor press to ensure parts are completely ejected from the mold. Notify Production Supervisor of any problems observed or encountered during the molding operation.
  • Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configuration according to the established quality standard.
  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to establish quality standards.
  • Remove molded parts from the collection bin or table and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris and standing water.
  • Perform duties in conformance with all established safety policies and procedures.
  • Transfer parts in/out of drying tunnel as required/instructed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Observation - ability to visually inspect parts during the production operation and properly determine whether the parts meet quality standards.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written instructions contained in work-related documents.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate,
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Ability to use manual pallet jack or other designated material handling equipment to move finished good parts and/or components to/from the assigned workstation.
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes protective eyewear, but may also require hearing protection, and reinforced-toe safety shoes.
  • Position may require periods of physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
  • Position requires continuous standing for periods of 4-8 hrs.
  • Position requires physical mobility involving repeated bending and stretching.
  • Must be able to safely lift articles of a minimum of 25 lbs.

Physical Demands

  • Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
