Job summary

Alleguard, Inc. in Cave Spring, GA is seeking a 2nd Shift Press Operator. You will inspect and sort molded parts for defects and pack parts into designated packaging per quality standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4pm–12am. Pay is $16 USD/hr plus a $0.50 shift premium. Benefits include Medical and Vision Insurance, 401k, Life & AD&D, disability coverage, HSA/FSAs, EAP, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Ability to visually inspect parts for defects and conformance to quality standards.
• Ability to understand and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to listen carefully and ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Monitoring gauges, dials, and equipment during production.
• Experience moving finished parts with pallet jacks or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sort molded or assembled parts for defects.
• Pack acceptable parts into predefined packaging or pallets per quality standards.
• Discard or reject non-conforming parts or materials.
• Label and document finished containers with required information.
• Perform visual checks to ensure conformance to standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE usage.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and assist in machine operations as directed.

Position: 2nd Shift Press Operator

Job Summary

We are currently hiring Press Operators for our manufacturing site. As a Press Operator, you are responsible for inspecting and sorting molded or assembled parts/ products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications. You will also pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.

Pay: $16 USD/hr + $0.50 Shift Premium

Responsibilities

• Monitor press to ensure parts are completely ejected from the mold. Notify Production Supervisor of any problems observed or encountered during the molding operation.
• Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configuration according to the established quality standard.
• Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
• Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to established quality standards.
• Remove molded parts from the collection bin or table and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris and standing water.
• Perform duties in conformance with all established safety policies and procedures.
• Transfer parts in/out of drying tunnel as required/instructed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Observation - ability to visually inspect parts during the production operation and properly determine whether the parts meet quality standards.
• Reading Comprehension - Understanding written instructions contained in work-related documents.
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate,
• Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
• Ability to use manual pallet jack or other designated material handling equipment to move finished good parts and/or components to/from the assigned workstation.
• Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
• Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes protective eyewear, but may also require hearing protection, and reinforced-toe safety shoes.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires continuous standing for periods of 4-8 hrs.
• Position requires physical mobility involving repeated bending and stretching.
• Must be able to safely lift articles of a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Flexibility is a must – hours subject to change based on production schedule
