Job summary

AMETEK LMS in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Machinist II for 1st shift to join our production team. You will operate and inspect tools and equipment, perform standard work, and contribute to quality and efficiency on the value stream.

The role requires 3–5 years of manual lathe, drill, and grinder experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong English reading/writing skills. We offer an hourly pay range of $45,000–$50,000, with benefits and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and inspecting standard work on a machining line.
• Proven ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard work with support from others on complex tasks.
• Operate and inspect value stream workstation output.
• Operate and inspect all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
• Execute standard work with an acceptable degree of quality and limited quality discrepancies, showing a trend of improvement.
• Execute standard work efficiently on simple tasks with support from others on complex tasks.
• Identify problems in execution of standard work and request help from others on resolution.
• Train other associates.
