Job summary

CBRE Electrician role in Indianapolis maintains mechanical and electrical systems across pharmaceutical facilities to ensure reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. You’ll support critical lab, storage, and pilot plant environments with hands-on maintenance and accurate documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or trade training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy loads, climb, and perform precise electrical work. GMP/GLP familiarity is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, relevant trade training preferred.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb, and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze problems and apply sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid math skills for calculations and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical and lighting systems' operation, repair, and maintenance; install new equipment.
• Check, repair, and replace components: valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, pipes.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and complies with guidelines.
• Review maintenance history to plan proactive inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Operate test equipment (volt/ohm meters, analyzers) and document results.
• Maintain and repair controls on complex HVAC and process systems.
• Complete regulatory training and follow GMP/GLP procedures; document maintenance; manage ITPs.
