Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina, KS is seeking a 1st Shift Parts Shipper to receive, store, assemble, distribute, and route parts and products in the GP Ag Parts Department. On-site in Salina, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, reading orders, assembling and packing orders, labeling, and moving materials with a forklift while maintaining accuracy and safety. Basic math and reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and documents such as safety rules and operating/maintenance/procedure manuals.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, lift truck and other vehicles; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to write correspondence and perform basic math with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, assemble, distribute, and route parts and products in the GP Ag Parts Department.
• Compare identifying information and counts and verify against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Read customer orders to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Assemble orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves; pack and label as needed.
• Operate forklift or handtruck to move shipments within the plant and to storage areas.
• Record quantities of materials received or distributed and ensure conformance to standards.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE.
