Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator for 1st shift at our CE Salina, KS location. This full-time position runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required. Core duties include safely moving parts to staging areas, ensuring correct part identification, maintaining inventory accuracy, loading and unloading trucks, and performing routine equipment checks in compliance with OSHA and company PPE standards.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Follows all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
