Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. in Abilene, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Outside Shipper to join our team. This full-time role runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. with overtime as required, supporting the loading of products and maintaining safety standards on a variety of trailers. Qualified candidates will have strong communication, organization, and mechanical aptitude, with forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a variety of forklifts safely.
• Mechanical background or aptitude is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be organized and able to maintain paperwork accurately.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexible to overtime or changing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely load Great Plains product on a variety of trailers.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for shipments.
• Work overtime or flexible hours on short notice as required.
• Operate forklifts and support material handling tasks.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE.
