Lock Joint Tub in South Bend, IN is seeking a mill stocker to manage coil inventory, verify material against shop orders, and document quantities for tubing production. You will operate a forklift, cross-check coil numbers, retag when orders complete, and maintain the mill stocker sheets for shift handoffs.
Union-related shift flexibility is required. Safety training and PPE compliance are essential; order accuracy and timely updates to the Traffic Department help keep production running

HOURS
1st shift = 7am-3pm
2nd shift = 3pm-11pm
3rd shift = 11pm - 7am
*Due to Union bumping rights, applicants must have shift flexibility*
2nd shift premium = $1.80/hr
3rd shift premium = $1.25/hr
SUMMARY
The mill stocker is responsible for the review, retrieval and documentation of all steel coils introduced into the mill Production area used in the manufacturing of tubing by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; at least 10th grade education or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fork lift and Overhead Crane Certification
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITES
Ability to use main frame computer to check inventory.
