Job summary

Lock Joint Tub in South Bend, IN is seeking a mill stocker to manage coil inventory, verify material against shop orders, and document quantities for tubing production. You will operate a forklift, cross-check coil numbers, retag when orders complete, and maintain the mill stocker sheets for shift handoffs.

Union-related shift flexibility is required. Safety training and PPE compliance are essential; order accuracy and timely updates to the Traffic Department help keep production running

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; basic reading/comprehension of safety rules.
• Forklift certification and ability to operate forklift safely in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform basic math for inventory calculations and material verification.
• Ability to read shop orders and material master numbers; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and verify coil quantities against shop orders and material specs.
• Move coils from storage to mill dump area using forklift; document movements.
• Retag partial coils for restock and maintain mill stocker sheets.
• Prepare and submit stocker sheets to shift supervisor and Traffic Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
