Job summary

PPG in Sylmar, CA is hiring a Metallic Coating Technician to apply organic coatings to acrylic, polycarbonate and glass substrates in a cleanroom, with PPE and safety protocols. You will perform TPMs, monitor UV curing robots, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, manufacturing experience is preferred, and the shift is 1st, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with OT as needed, with a pay rate of $28.02 per hour.

Qualifications

• Safe working in production with a strong safety culture.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom with PPE.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work in a production environment with a high level of safety awareness.
• Follow PPG safety protocols and contribute to safety culture.
• Apply organic coatings to acrylic, polycarbonate and glass substrates.
• Work in a cleanroom and wear PPE.
• Handle solvents such as IPA and Acetone.
• Maintain accurate records and keep workspace clean and organized.
• Contribute to team environment and collaborate with teammates.
• Assist with TPMs on equipment.
• Willingness to wear a respirator.
• Monitor UV curing robots.
