Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is hiring for an Assembly/Machine Operator role at our Fort Wayne facility. You will operate hand operated metal stamping presses, follow job travelers and drawings, and perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be physically able to lift 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and possess reliable transportation. We offer a drug-free workplace and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate press for assembly operations.
• Review job traveler and part drawings to accurately produce parts.
• Perform quality checks during production to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Complete all job related paperwork and production reporting to record part quantity and scrap.
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks to move raw material and parts as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards.

Job Description

Job Purpose: Ultimately responsible for operating hand operated metal stamping presses and other duties required in the Assembly department.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Operate press for assembly operations

· Reviews job traveler and part drawings to accurately produce parts

· Makes all required quality checks during production to ensure parts are produced to required dimensions and conform to all specifications.

· Completes all job related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record part quantity and scrap

· Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks to move raw material and parts as needed

· Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards

Qualifications

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience

· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

· Must be able to lift 25 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions

· Must have reliable transportation
