Base Pay: $20.60/hour + applicable training premium totaling $22.10/hour

What You'll Do
As a Master Assembler, you'll be part of our Assembly Team at our Willard Plant located in Willard, OH. In addition to performing standard production assembly responsibilities, this role is expected to support training and onboarding efforts and provide flexible coverage across multiple jobs to help address operational gaps.
You'll get to:
- Complete assigned production activities according to ISO work instructions
- Successfully complete production assignments within the allotted takt time
- Set up workstations as needed
- Complete visual inspections of both in-process and finished products
- Check in-process and finished parts using appropriate fixtures and gauges when required
- Perform operator level maintenance as needed
- Abide by all SBD policies and procedures
- Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations
- Report any safety or quality issues to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunities
- Learn and maintain proficiency in a variety of assembly jobs in order to provide coverage where needed across the operation
- Provide support in areas experiencing staffing shortages or operational gaps, when trained and qualified to perform the work
- Serve as a trainer for new hires by supporting onboarding, job instruction, and on-the-job training in assigned work areas
- Help promote consistency in training, safe work practices, and quality expectations for new employees
- Other related production duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Group Leader

- High School Diploma or GED
- Manual dexterity: ability to use hand tools and other equipment as needed in the allotted time
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including ISO work instructions
- Able to operate in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to interact with other associates throughout the facility
- Ability to walk, stand, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs. for a minimum of eight hours daily
- Willingness to learn the facility safety rules and regulations
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous assembly and/or light industrial experience is a plus
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple jobs and work assignments across the operation
- Ability to train and support new employees in a positive and effective manner
- Strong flexibility, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
