Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a production associate to safely operate a forklift, support assembly with hand and power tools, and inspect finished parts for quality before routing to the next department.

You will also handle materials safely, keep the work area clean and compliant with safety standards, and collaborate with teams across departments. 1st shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklift operation in a production setting.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch; blueprint reading is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for the shift.
• English literacy to read instructions and complete logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move materials within the plant.
• Assist assembly using hand and power tools.
• Inspect finished parts for quality before forwarding them.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety standards.
• Report to shift and follow PPE requirements.
• Support other departments as production needs.
