Job summary

The Hershey Company in Bethlehem, PA is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift. You will maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure safe, efficient operations on a standard 8-hour shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm).

Pay starts at $29 per hour and depends on skill and experience. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years in manufacturing maintenance, and strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems efficiently and perform effective repairs.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by performing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Locate sources of problems by observing devices, listening for problems, and using precision measuring tools.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Provide maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with team to complete related results as needed.
• Perform maintenance in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on mechanical and electrical repair.
