Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor in St. Charles, IL. You will lead maintenance teams across installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment, ensuring smooth product flows and peak production.

The role requires strong electro-mechanical skills, root cause analysis, and experience with ammonia refrigeration. You will mentor staff, manage maintenance documentation, and drive KPIs to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for high-level process issues.
• Food manufacturing background or similar industry; ammonia refrigeration background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Supervise maintenance systems, processes, and documentation for high performance.
• Schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems (PM, TPM, SOPs, Safety).
• Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day troubleshooting for equipment failures.
• Develop KPIs and provide status reports to maintenance leadership.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and inventory.
• Foster employee development and coaching to enhance performance.
