Job summary

Chelten House Products, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Lead on 1st shift to oversee advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of high-speed production equipment at our Bridgeport, NJ site.

This hands-on leadership role serves as the primary technical resource for Maintenance Technicians. As a working lead, you will mentor technicians, coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, and ensure safe, compliant start-ups and returns to service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose failures and determine repair strategies.
• Experience leading Technicians and coaching on methods.
• Knowledge of CMMS and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with HACCP/GMP and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance leadership for troubleshooting and repair.
• Serve as the first technical point of support for Technicians.
• Diagnose complex mechanical failures and identify corrective actions.
• Coordinate technician responses based on priority and resources.
• Ensure safe work practices and PPE compliance.
• Utilize CMMS to document work and parts usage.
• Assist with equipment start-ups and commissioning.
