Job summary

Chelten House Products, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Lead for the 1st shift who will mentor technicians and drive advanced troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical skills, CMMS experience, and a safety‑conscious, collaborative approach to maintenance leadership in a food production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade education in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food, beverage, pharmaceutical or high-speed environment.
• Demonstrated advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and escalate when needed.
• Experience providing hands-on coaching to technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance Technician responsibilities with higher proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and reliability.
• Serve as the first technical point of support for technicians.
• Diagnose complex mechanical failures and assist with root cause identification.
• Provide hands-on guidance during breakdowns, repairs, and start-ups.
• Coordinate technician response based on production priorities and safety considerations.
• Communicate status and needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Escalate issues outside authority or competency.
• Support preventive, predictive, corrective, and planned maintenance.
• Review repairs and support safe start-up and return to service.
• Assist with interpretation of manuals, drawings, schematics, and procedures.
• Support troubleshooting of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, bearings, seals.
