Tyson Foods in Newton, Mississippi is seeking a Maintenance Generalist MG02 for 1st shift to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment across the facility. The role requires working in dusty, cold, damp or hot environments and the ability to read and write to follow the preventive maintenance program.

Candidates must live within 30 miles of the facility and be able to obtain PIT certification. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 8 am–6 pm and Saturday 8 am–12 pm, with overtime and weekend/holiday

Qualifikationen

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets.
• Ensure safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies.
• Operate power tools, saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders and ladders as needed.
• Possess ability to fabricate by welding and cutting.
• Work with contractors to ensure proper equipment utilization.
• Enter data into handheld computer system as required.
