Job summary

Techmer PM in Dalton, GA is seeking a Machine Operator for our Dalton facility. The role operates all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for customer applications, on the 1st shift (Monday-Friday).

Pay rate starts at $20.00 per hour and may increase with experience. The position is full-time and on-site, with benefits including medical coverage from day one, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays and vacation, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Dalton, Georgia facility. This position will be on the 1st Shift - Monday-Friday (7:00 AM-3:30 AM). Pay rate is $20.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.
• Ability to lift 55lbs. frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
