Job Description

Packaging Team Member

Responsible for monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting packaging equipment, working efficiently, and following all procedures to produce quality products according to customer specifications. This includes safety, GMP, and quality procedures. The machine operator is also required to perform complete washouts of machinery at the end of production runs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand written and verbal instructions to complete packaging of products, referring to SOPs, machine priming, basic operating procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Operate various manufacturing equipment in a high-volume environment.
• Manipulate small parts and gauges.
• Set up and adjust machines according to product specifications.
• Perform safety checks and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Inspect products for quality and remove defective items.
• Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Document activities and communicate performance information across shifts.
• Complete required training, including sanitary washouts.

Safety & GMP Objectives

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Recognize unsafe acts and conditions, and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to food safety plans and GMPs.
• Report incidents and complete necessary paperwork.
• Represent the company professionally and refrain from media inquiries.
