Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Helper/Cleaner/Finisher in Tyler, TX to clean, grind, and sand surfaces of components prior to painting. The role runs on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at a pay rate of $14.51 per hour.

Responsibilities include examining surfaces for defects, operating a grinder, removing burrs, polishing surfaces, and assisting welders and setup of weld tables. The position emphasizes safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience with surface finishing and inspection of machined parts.
• Ability to operate a grinder and other finishing tools.
• Willingness to assist welding team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examines surface and removes defects using grinding tools.
• Operates grinder to remove burrs and weld material.
• Polishes finished areas to a smooth surface.
• Assists welders and prepares weld table.
• Loads materials using hoists or cranes and maintains workspace cleanliness.
