Job summary

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, seeks a dedicated worker to apply powder coat paint to surface parts and components. You will hang items on the paint line, follow the schedule on a computer, and inspect for quality issues.

You will also remove shot material with compressed air, maintain the booth, and assist with assemblies before unload. A safety-first mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness and neatness.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and be a self starter.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work extended hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds periodically.
  • Must be able to work as a team player.
  • Must align with the Snap-on mission statement.
  • Must wear required PPE (Hi-Vis vest, steeltoe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Hang parts and components on paint line in a timely manner.
  • Use computer to follow paint line schedule and mark off items on the computer once hung.
  • Inspect items for quality issues (scratches, welds, etc.).
  • Remove any shot material from parts using compressed air.
  • Apply powder coat paint with electrostatic spray gun.
  • Plug sheaves and threads on parts.
  • Clean, maintain and prepare booth and powder coating equipment and room.
  • Perform required assemblies on 2-post product before unload.
  • Unload components/parts and place in designated area.
  • Use L2L to order parts as needed.
  • Other duties as requested by Production Supervisor.

Overview

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate to be responsible for applying powder coat paint to surface of parts and components, removing media from components after shot blast process, and hanging parts and components to the paint line.

Responsibilities
  • Hang parts and components on paint line in a timely manner.
  • Use computer to follow painline schedule and mark off items on the computer once parts has been hung
  • Inspect all items for any quality disceptiencies (i.e scratches, bad welds, ect)
  • Remove any shot out of parts using a compressed air gun
  • Apply powder coat paint to product with electrostatic spray gun.
  • Plug sheaves and threads on parts
  • Clean, maintain and prepare booth and powder coating equipment, clean room, floor, equipment.
  • Perform required assemblies on 2post product before unload and removal out of area.
  • Unload components/parts and place components in their designated area
  • Use L2L to order parts as needed

Other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor.

  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), PAPR (If Applicable) and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
