Job summary

Minutemen Staffing in Ohio is seeking a general laborer to work in both the aluminum and copper buildings, processing wheels and turnings, and assisting with cleaning in a fast-paced plant environment.

Typical hours are 7am-5pm, 45-50 hours per week. The role requires standing for long periods, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. PPE is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience in a manufacturing/plant environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wheel line duties: pull wheels, remove weights, sort by type, clean after each load.
• Dust Room: move material between stations and clean after processing.
• Turnings: assist with moving material between stations and cleaning.
• Copper Building: assist with de-boxing material, cleaning, feed material to chop line.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the general laborer will work in a variety of positions either in the aluminum building or copper building as needed.This position will work processing wheels, turnings, or cleaning.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

1.Wheel line

• Pull wheels from dumped pile or remove from pallets as received
• Remove lead weights and steel inserts
• Sort into type of wheel and send to conveyor
• Clean up area after processing each load

2.Dust Room

• Move material from one station to the next
• Clean as needed after processing each load

3.Turnings

• Assist operator with moving material from one station to the next.
• Clean as needed after processing each load.

4.Copper Building

• Assist with de-boxing material
• Clean as needed
• Assist with feeding material to chop line

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

• Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to stand and use both hands to move material for a 10 hour period
• Good motor skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working Hours/Environment

• Typical hours are 7am-5pm, 45-50 work hours per week 100% of work is in the plant environment.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to safely operate equipment
• Repetitive moderate lifting up to 50 lbs and some heavy lifting (>50 lbs)
• Required PPE: safety glasses, steel toed shoes, ear protection and respiratory protection (dust mask).
• Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• Ability to speak to and hear employees in person
• Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the plant environment
