Job summary
Valmont Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a Plant Cleanup associate in the Coatings Division. You will prepare products for galvanizing, hang angles on spreader bars, stage tubulars, and keep the plant clean.
First Shift: 5:00 am to 1:45 pm, pay $20.50 per hour. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift 50 lb+, and follow all safety rules with PPE. Join a Fortune 1000 company focused on sustainable infrastructure.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Safety-focused with PPE usage.
- Experience with hand tools and gauges is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Move lightweight pieces of steel by hand around the plant and yard.
- Perform overall plant clean-up in production bays.
- Operate a small forklift and assist with facilities maintenance.
- Assist with storm water management and drain maintenance.
- Follow safety guidelines and report issues to supervision.
