Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for the Salina, KS facility. The role supports the Material Handling Department with safe movement of parts and accurate parts delivery.

The position requires operating a forklift, performing basic maintenance, loading/unloading trucks, and collaborating with other departments to maintain inventory accuracy and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to use and understand AS400.
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Other duties as assigned such as driving a truck and working with other departments.
