Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, seeks a 1st Shift Forklift Operator at our Lucas, KS facility. This full-time position requires safe movement of parts, accurate part identification, and adherence to OSHA safety regulations.

Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience or a valid license, with strong teamwork and basic AS400 and blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment is helpful.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers.

Responsibilities

Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
Load and unload trucks.
Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment.
Follow all safety regulations and wear prescribed equipment.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
