Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a 1st shift Material Handler to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment on the warehouse floor. You will operate a forklift, load and unload trucks, pick and pack orders, and perform cycle counts while following safety and company procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, forklift experience, basic math, and basic computer skills. Pre-employment drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for 100 ft.
• Forklift experience required.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending/reaching motions.
• Safety mindset and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment on the warehouse floor.
• Accurately remove and stock products according to inventory plan.
• Load and unload trucks and verify items loaded/unloaded.
• Pick, process and pack orders; cut orders on Kaltenbach saw if required.
• Complete cycle counts and paperwork per work instructions.
• Identify and segregate defective material; report issues.
• Perform general cleanup and inspect forklift at shift start.
• Support health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives and requirements.
• Assist in other duties as needed by supervisor.
