Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for our Grand Rapids, MI warehouse. You will move materials and products using a forklift, load/unload trucks, pick and pack orders, and support cycle counts.

The role requires safety-conscious work on the warehouse floor around heavy equipment. First shift pay is up to $25.00 per hour. The position includes opportunities to participate in health and safety initiatives and company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Basic math skills expected.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk on a warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using a forklift.
• Load and unload trucks; verify correct items loaded/unloaded.
• Pick, pack, and process orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Perform cycle counts and identify defective material.
• Complete paperwork per work instructions and maintain clean work area.
• Follow health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives and requirements.
