Stand-By Personnel, Inc. seeks an experienced Fitter/Welder for a steel fabrication role in Tulsa, OK. The job involves fitting, assembling and welding components to spec, with a Weld & Fit-Up Test required for placement. Expect a first shift schedule Monday–Thursday with two daily shift options.

The candidate should read blueprints, measure precisely, and maintain quality and safety standards in a dynamic fabrication environment. Competitive hourly pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on welding and fitting experience required.
• Ability to pass Weld and Fit-Up Test.
• Experience fitting and assembling steel components.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use fabrication tools.
• Familiarity with welding equipment and basic fabrication procedures.
• Strong measurement and layout skills.
• Ability to inspect welds and assemblies for quality.
• Blueprint-reading experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Dependable attendance and safety commitment.

Responsabilités

• Fit, align, and assemble steel components according to established fabrication requirements.
• Perform welding operations on metal assemblies while maintaining consistent weld quality.
• Measure, mark, and position materials in preparation for welding and fabrication.
• Prepare welding joints and perform fit-up operations to ensure proper alignment.
• Use welding equipment, grinders, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for visible defects, alignment concerns, and dimensional accuracy.
• Read and follow applicable fabrication instructions and production specifications.
• Work closely with other fabrication personnel to maintain efficient production workflow.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all company safety procedures.
• Perform additional welding and fitting responsibilities as assigned.
