Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician for the 1st shift to support the maintenance of our western Massachusetts facility. The role emphasizes safety, routine checks on equipment, lighting maintenance, and service of environmental gear.

You'll also perform emergency plumbing repairs, service air compressors and dryers, and help construct or modify workspace areas. A high school diploma, basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid state driver’s license with lift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication, and basic math skills.
• Strong problem-solving and workload prioritization.
• Valid state driver’s license and certification on all assigned industrial lifts.
• Proficient in the use of all hand tools, including normal carpentry and mechanical tools.
• Working knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, and welding.
• Good close vision and depth perception skills.
• Ability to contribute successfully as part of a team.
• Positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees.
• Perform checks on assigned equipment.
• Maintain interior and exterior lighting.
• Service environmental equipment.
• Perform emergency plumbing repairs.
• Service air compressors and air dryers.
• Construct, modify, and/or relocate workspace areas.
• Construct, repair, and maintain interior walls, stairways, and ceilings.
• Make deliveries of tooling and equipment in the local area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
