Job summary

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC is seeking an Entry-Level Fabricator for our Components Division in Wisconsin. You will learn to operate and set up equipment that turns sheet metal into components, gaining hands-on experience with turrets, presses, lasers, and more.

No previous fabrication experience is required; mechanically inclined candidates who want to start a skilled-trade career will receive training and growth opportunities within the fabrication department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and communication skills essential.
• Ability to read a tape measure and learn blueprint/drawing interpretation.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing/fabrication.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and operation of fabrication equipment (turrets, punching machines, presses, lasers, shears).
• Learn and apply proper operating procedures for fabrication equipment under supervision.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, assembly drawings, BOMs, and production docs with training.
• Use basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions and support quality requirements.
• Perform in-process and finished-part inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Safely handle, stage, and move materials throughout fabrication processes.
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Participate in cross-training across Fabrication and Mechanical Components departments.
• Communicate production, quality, safety, and equipment concerns with team.
• Demonstrate progress in learning fabrication processes and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
