Job summary

TAPCO Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented assembler for the 1st shift in Milwaukee. You will assemble, program, and test produced signs and related components in a cell-based environment that emphasizes lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Responsibilities include reading work instructions, testing finished products, and collaborating with the Production Manager and team members. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs and have 1–2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Able to perform basic math operations and unit conversions.
• Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Experience in a team/cell-based manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom orders according to engineered-to-order standards.
• Program and test finished products.
• Pack products for shipping with protective materials.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S practices in daily work.
