Job summary

TAPCO Inc. is seeking a production-focused assembler to manufacture and test BTS Blinker signs, paddles, and related LED signs in a lean, cell-based environment. The role supports sales orders and requires adherence to 5S and standard work practices.

You will work 1st shift in a team setting, performing assembly, wiring, and testing, with opportunities to learn and apply process improvements. The position reports to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics - OMS law, AC/DC, Voltage/Amps, solar controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic/mechanical work instructions, drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in basic math operations across units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Assembles custom orders according to engineered-to-order standards and documentation.
• Programs and tests finished products.
• Packs products into containers with protective padding and supports cell-based production.
• Participates in cell changeovers and lean improvement activities.
• Performs routine maintenance and helps implement improvement ideas.
• Communicates with Cell/Team Leader, Planner and Management as required.
