Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician in El Segundo for a 1st shift (9/80) from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will mechanically assemble PCB assemblies into product chassis, interpret blueprints, use precision tools, and perform visual inspections to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include soldering, reworking, conformal coating support, and documenting non-conformances. Requires >1 year in electro-mechanical assembly and clean room experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience following written and verbal work instructions.
• Experience assembling component-level space products (avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, PCBs, solar arrays).
• 1+ year in electro-mechanical assembly on high-reliability products.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings or specifications.
• Experience in a Clean Room environment.
• Experience with electronics and PCB assemblies.
• Experience mixing epoxy materials.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Experience using a microscope to inspect parts.
• Experience with MS Office and computing systems.
• Experience in J-STD-001 soldering.
• Experience using calipers, force gauge, tweezers.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and shears.

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join one of our aerospace clients in El Segundo.

This is a 1st shift, 9/80 position, 6AM - 3:30PM.

Position Responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
• Assemble Electro‐Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating procedures
• Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers
• Perform visual inspection of Electro‐Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test procedures
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
• Document non‐conformances and associated rework/repair
• Soldering and reworking of through‐hole and SMT components
• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
• More than 1 year of experience following written and verbal work instructions
• Ability to use steady hand-eye coordination to work with small parts - More than 1 year of experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)
• More than 1 year of experience in Electro-- Mechanical assembly on high reliability products
• More than 1 year of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
• More than 1 year of experience working in a Clean Room environment
• More than 1 year of experience in electronics and electro-mechanical and PCB assemblies
• More than 1 year of experience mixing epoxy materials
• More than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• More than 1 year of experience using a Microscope to inspect parts
• More than 1 year of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems
• More than 1 year of experience in J-STD-001 Soldering
• More than 1 year of experience using calipers, a force gauge and/or tweezers
• More than 1 year of experience using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
