Job summary

Aerotek in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the 1st shift to build mechanical components and subassemblies per engineering drawings. You will use hand and power tools, verify fit and function, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced production environment.

The position is full-time Monday–Friday 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Prior assembly experience and blueprint literacy are preferred, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing, preferably in a production environment.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and subassemblies per specifications and drawings.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform precise assembly work.
• Operate tools safely and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Verify fit, alignment, and functionality during build.
• Inspect finished assemblies for quality and report issues.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturing processes.
