Job summary

Wabash National Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking an Electrical Controls Tech for 1st shift. The role repairs, installs, and inspects electronic systems per diagrams and specifications.

You will program and troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and vision systems, enter maintenance data in SAP PM, and support production with safety-compliant maintenance. Shift may be 8, 10, or 12 hours with mandatory overtime and weekends; cross-functional teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of components and assembly processes.
• 1–3 years robotic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Read and modify engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment.
• Enter data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance).
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.

Position Description:

Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to theproductionselectronic systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Readandmodifydetailedengineeringdrawings and printsto adjust, test and repairequipment.
• Responsiblefor entering data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance)
• Program and troubleshoot PLC,roboticsand visionsystems.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servodrives.
• Interfacewith suppliers formaintenanceparts
• Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Ability to work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team.
• Follow safety policies and practices while maintaining Wabash’s Leadership Principles and Values.
• TheElectronics Controls Engineer MaintenanceTechnician I position is expected to work full shifts, which may be 8, 10, or 12 hours per day, depending on the plant’s needs.
• Workschedule includes mandatory overtime and weekends.
