Wabash is looking for an Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician I to repair, install, and inspect electronic systems in the Lafayette, IN area. You will read engineering drawings, program PLC/robotics, and troubleshoot automation equipment to keep production running efficiently.

The role requires data entry in SAP PM, collaboration with suppliers, and strict adherence to safety standards and SOPs. Overtime and weekend work are required as part of production support.

Qualificações

• 3 to 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience preferred.
• Good Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic component and assembly process knowledge.
• 1 to 3 years Robotic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills

Responsabilidades

• Work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team.
• Follow safety policies and values of the company.
• Shift may be 8, 10, or 12 hours; overtime and weekends required.
• Support daily production requirements.
• Support engineering project related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Description:

Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the productions electronic systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for entering data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance)
• Program and troubleshoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot automation manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.
• Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts
• Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Ability to work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team.
• Follow safety policies and practices while maintaining Wabash's Leadership Principles and Values.
• The Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician I position is expected to work full shifts, which may be 8, 10, or 12 hours per day, depending on the plant's needs.
• Work schedule includes mandatory overtime and weekends.
• Support daily production requirements.
