Job summary

Reviva Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a 1st Shift Mechanical Technician to disassemble and prep core diesel engine components for remanufacturing. You will use precision tools and hoists to uphold high-quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will perform engine tear-downs, handle heavy components safely, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily output while following 5S and safety protocols. Starting wage is $20 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., impact wrenches, drills, torque guns).
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and repetitively lift up to 70 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and a "Right the First Time" quality mindset.
• Preferred: Prior experience with diesel engine teardown or assembly.

Responsibilities

• Engine Disassembly: Perform full teardowns of complex diesel engines using impact wrenches, air chisels, and specialized hand tools according to SOPs.
• Safe Component Handling: Use overhead hoists, lifts, and carts to transport heavy components to cleaning stations while following safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous inspections during disassembly to document core component integrity.
• Team Collaboration: Work with fellow technicians to optimize production flow and meet daily output goals.
• Workspace Stewardship: Maintain a clean, organized work area in line with 5S and safety regulations.
