Job summary

Jobot is seeking a 1st Shift CNC Machinist Lathe in Sidney, Ohio. The role involves setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring tight tolerances for aerospace/high-precision components.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of CNC experience, strong GD&T skills, and familiarity with ERP documentation. Shift runs 6:30am–5:00pm with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of CNC multi-axis turning or milling experience.
• Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and/or milling machines with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets, including GD&T.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections using metrology tools.
• Hold tight tolerances in precision machining environments.
• Document inspection results and job data within the ERP system.
• Follow quality procedures related to machine setup, inspection, and material handling.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
